Pre-alpha landscape

The pre-alpha (patch 0.7.9) was released on 7th January 2015[1], and an intermediate step toward the alpha.

It consists mainly in the migration of the technical prototype from Ogre to Unreal Engine 4, and basic support for multiplayer.

Minimum configuration[editedit source]

This is a realistic 3D roulette simulation game with source code for many platforms.The source code simulates random spins realistically rolling to a random number,or a predetermined number from 0 to 36.You can write your own subroutine for predetermined numbers& plug it into the existing code.An example such subroutine is given. AlphaX is the Mac OS X native version of Alpha, developed by the AlphaCabal. It runs on Mac OS X 10.4 or later. It is very easy to upgrade AlphaX 's embedded AlphaTcl library via SVN. Unlike previous beta versions of AlphaX, there is no need to download and install the 'Tcl' software library separately.Each flavor listed above is upwards compatible, i.e. The Panther version should also work.

For the pre-alpha, the minimum configuration is:

  • Microsoft Windows 7 SP1 or Windows 8 or Mac OS X Mavericks (10.9.2)
  • 32 or 64 bits operating system
  • DirectX 11 or above (Windows) / OpenGL 3.2 or above (Mac)
  • 4Gb of RAM
  • .NET Framework 3.5
  • Internet connexion
  • Mid-range graphics card, with 1Gb video memory
  • 1Gb free disk space

  • A secret and hidden feature allows to set the speed factor while in fly mode, by using the numpad keys:
    • 1 is base speed x1
    • 2 is base speed x2
    • ...
    • 0 is base speed x10

Make sure you’re ready to upgrade.

Before you upgrade, we recommend that you back up your Mac. If your Mac is running OS X Mavericks 10.9 or later, you can upgrade directly to macOS Big Sur. You’ll need the following:

  • 35.5GB available storage on macOS Sierra or later*

Upgrading from macOS Catalina 10.15 or Mojave 10.14?

Go to Software Update in System Preferences to find macOS Big Sur. Click Upgrade Now and follow the onscreen instructions.

Upgrading from an older version of macOS?

If you’re running any release from macOS 10.13 to 10.9, you can upgrade to macOS Big Sur from the App Store. If you’re running Mountain Lion 10.8, you will need to upgrade to El Capitan 10.11 first.

If you don’t have broadband access, you can upgrade your Mac at any Apple Store.
